Here's a few mockups to get us started.  You'll see a couple of size options as well.

First, we want to view this image from a universal standpoint…meaning, let's determine what kind of "look" we want to go for here.  After that is determined, we can then add layers of effects, if necessary, including more artistic illustrations.  Consider this as a view from the opposite side of the room…what do you want it to "look" like?

I must say I have a very strong opinion since I know a few things I want to try for the next step but I'm not going to bias you ;-)
